Throughput restrictions for onshore Texas production may have been lifted as production levels on Tenn gained 200 MMcf/d. BENTEK Energy: Your Source for Energy Market Fundamentals Data and Analysis

Who is BENTEK Energy?

Founded in 1985, BENTEK Energy specializes in bringing companies daily Energy Market Fundamentals that give them the analytical tools and competitive intelligence needed in order to make critical, bottom-line decisions in today's energy marketplace.

We go deep into the data to help our clients understand the fundamentals - how energy is moving, where bottlenecks may develop, and which supply/demand factors impact prices. We support our clients' decision making abilities by providing energy flow, supply, demand, capacity and storage data packaged with graphics and analysis.

What sets BENTEK Energy apart?

We know energy. We are into the data. We collect and organize it. We visualize it. And most importantly, we understand it. We see the big picture by rigorously reviewing the details. Our insights are supported by a "bottoms up" analysis that contains an extremely comprehensive view of energy market trends and developments.

For much of our history, we provided consulting services to the energy industry. Our products consisted of multi-client and proprietary research projects that primarily targeted large natural gas marketing organizations. The majority of our work was focused on analyzing supply/demand, evaluating natural gas customer needs and evaluating gas and power utility tariffs.

In late 2002, developments in the market began to change the industry's information needs. Traditional federal and state government data sources were inadequate for analyzing a rapidly changing marketplace. To accelerate our access to information, we began utilizing pipeline delivery and receipt volume data that all interstate pipeline and storage companies are required by law to post on their website electronic bulletin board systems (EBBs) several times each day. We developed proprietary technology that automatically gathers, validates, standardizes and warehouses the data, and then delivers it in user-friendly formats.

Collecting and processing this data is time consuming and fraught with complexity. However, the response from our clients to reports using this data has been remarkable. In response to our customers, we have expanded our data collection processes to include data resources across the energy spectrum.

Not only have we expanded our data collection activities, we have built a wide range of data analysis and visualization tools with Energy Market Fundamentals packages that include Visual Maps, Energy Analytics and Market Models of numerous sectors of the energy markets.
