Both the East Leg of Tennessee's Blue Water System and the Discovery Mainline are expected to come back online later this week however, the same weather that caused the suspension of repair efforts on the Sea Robin system is likely also effecting repairs on other system's in the area. Repairs efforts on both systems have been delayed for weather before. EMF Energy Visuals™: Storage Fill Maps™

BENTEK monitors the injections and withdrawals of each storage facility in the U.S. that is attached or associated with an interstate pipeline. In our Natural Gas Storage maps we use this data to show the storage capacity and utilization at each of these facilities where current inventory and capacity information can be determined.

Our Storage Maps indicate capacity utilization by means of a “gas gauge”, where each gas gauge is depicted on a map of U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA) storage regions – the regional breakdown used by the EIA to report natural gas storage statistics. One map summarizes all facilities in each of the three EIA regions. Another shows all facilities where inventories are monitored by BENTEK.

Each ‘gas gauge’ shows the percentage utilization at each facility or group of facilities. Red is utilized. Green is unutilized. A solid red gauge represents a full storage location. A solid green gauge represents an empty storage location.

Using this visual representation, you can quickly and accurately determine which facilities are at risk of filling up, or running out – depending on the season.
